Welcome to a new year at University Seventh-day Adventist Church! Our strategic annual theme for 2026 is “Boldness.” This theme represents a Spirit-empowered posture of faith that moves every believer from fear to faith, from silence to witness, and from comfort to mission.

As we align with the global “Mission Refocus – I Will Go” initiative, we are calling our church family to rise in prayer, identity, mission, and unity, embodying the power and presence of the Holy Spirit.

Our Journey Through the Year

Our spiritual growth in 2026 follows a clear rhythm: Apply -> Relate -> Impact -> Reflect. We invite you to walk this path with us through four distinct phases:

Quarter 1: Boldness in Prayer (Applying)

The journey begins at the altar. Boldness starts with communion – learning to stand firm in God’s presence. Through prayer, we gain the stability, direction, and courage needed for the year ahead.

  • Key Text: Psalm 16:8 — “I have set the Lord always before me: because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved”.
  • Focus: Cultivating deep dependence on God.

Quarter 2: Boldness in Identity (Relating)

Having encountered God in prayer, we learn to live boldly in our new identity – secure in grace and defined by Christ.

  • Key Text: Galatians 2:20 — “I have been crucified with Christ, it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me…”.
  • Focus: Discovering who we are in Christ and living out that truth.

Quarter 3: Boldness in Becoming (Impacting)

True identity leads to “becoming” – a maturing, witnessing church that grows together in mission, discipleship, and character.

  • Key Text: Ephesians 4:13 — “Till we all come in the unity of the faith… unto a perfect man…”.
  • Focus: Translating our identity into active mission and ministry.

Quarter 4: Boldness in the Word (Reflecting)

The year culminates in Spirit-filled unity and a boldness grounded in truth. We reflect on how the Word has shaped, unified, and sent us.

  • Key Text: Acts 4:31 — “And when they had prayed… they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness”.
  • Focus: Celebrating transformation and loving witness.

A Call to Action

As Ellen G. White reminds us in The Ministry of Healing, “The strongest argument in favor of the gospel is a loving and lovable Christian”. This year, let us strive to be that argument through Total Member Involvement (TMI) and a commitment to spiritual readiness.
