Annual Theme ~ More Like Jesus
“And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” ~ John 17:3
Jesus is the Living Word whose Character we must emulate having been United by His Spirit to participate in His Mission to the World. The key text (John 17:3) of the annual theme defines what eternal life really is.
- The first quarter will emphasize communion with God and sanctification through His Word (John 17:17).
- The second quarter will delve into the extent to which Christ wants us to be like Him (John 17:23)
- The third quarter will discuss the role of the Holy Spirit in the believer’s life (John 16:13-14).
- Finally the fourth quarter will move us to be involved in God’s mission just as Jesus Christ was (John 17:18).
With these powerful strategic goals we hope to end the year having become More Like Jesus.
